A Teen Year Chapter 8

Chapter 8
Aly's first pointe class wasn't as fun as she'd wanted it to be. Stephanie and her weren't talking so there went all the fun out of the class. The good thing was that Nicole never came. (Aly was guessing that she wasn't accepted because of being new)
Although Miss Erin assigned partners during stretching and Aly was assigned to Stephanie. They didn't even talk. "You girls seem very quiet today" said Miss Erin. "Speechless" said Aly with a fake smile. Stephanie didn't even look up.
The class finished and Aly's bun came apart. (Which was good considering that she never did her own hair for class) Stephanie chuckled. "Great bun, huh?" She smirked. A few girls turned to watch. Aly felt her face get red. But then she remembered school and how to face off enemies like Andy with just one word. Aly stood up and faced Stephanie.
"At least I'm not the student of St.Lucifer's and a slave of Knuckle Buxter, a dancer with intentions of only crashing our class" Aly had exagerrated. She had changed St.Matthew's to St.Lucifer's, (the name of the devil) and totally went very far with Nicole. Aly sneered and left the dressing room, leaving the other girls with their mouths hanging open.
Aly decided to forget about the previous events. Tonight was going to be David's party and Aly couldn't wait, espicially when Logan was going to be there. According to the weather, this was going to be they last day of summer heat and Aly was determined to enjoy it by wearing her orange spaghetti strap top with her mini khaki shorts.
At excactly six o' clock, Aly's dad dropped her off at David's ginormous house which was already full of people in the garage and yard. "Hey!" yelled Hillary in her British voice. "Your here!" "Yeah" said Aly. "It's very crowded" Hillary nodded. "Everyone that we know is out back. Follow me"
Aly followed Hillary around the side of the house where David was playing a game with a group of seventh graders. "Why are they here?" asked Aly at the sight of the seventh graders. Celia was now standing by Aly. "David's brother Alan is in seventh grade and he invited them. It's actually his party" said Celia. "I guess David wasn't really supposed to be here." Aly looked at the two girls. They were dressed in summer wear as well. "Where's Angela?" asked Aly, realizing she wasn't with them. "Over there" said Hillary, pointing to a group of boys.
Angela was standing right next to Logan. Aly almost gasped. But there was nothing she could do. You couldn't own a boy. Max was right next to her too. Hillary sighed. "What's wrong, Hills?" asked Celia. "I really like Max and Angela looks toally into him" "Not really" said Aly. "Angela is flirting with Logan and Max is just hanging out with them" Hillary smiled. "Your right" she said. "Do you like a boy?" Celia asked Aly. "Well, do you?" asked Aly. "David" said Celia withought hesitation. Aly nodded at her. "He would be very stupid if he didn't like you back" said Aly. Celia smiled with Hillary. "Yeah. I guess your right, Aly"
Angela walked up to them. "Well finally! You guys are all here! Now let's go grab some drinks and food before they start dancing" Aly looked at Angela. There was dancing?

A Teen Year Chapter 4

Chapter 4
The only reason everyone suddenly knew who Aly was, was because she had talked back to Andy Moore. It had been a horrible choice too, having known that her mom was head of the school board. Which she had just found out, that she was the head of the Monroe board. Ugh!
And now everyone was saying, "Wow! Finally someone had the guts to say no!" and "I can't believe you just did that!" Aly of course didn't say anything. What was there to say? Yeah, it's really great that I'm so cool for being mean? Heck, no! Aly was angry at herself for doing that, but at the time she was really ticked off at Andy. That had been the only problem in fifth grade; Andy's being irritating.
Now Aly found her place at a table surrounded with new people. Lauren kept her promise to sit with her and of course Jenna and Sophie came along too. Taryn asked to sit with her and Aly of course said yes. (Which was probably temporary until Katrina came back)
Taryn was a bit of a gossip but it was fun being with her because she wasn't exactly mean. Taryn opened her mouth and Aly could tell this was going to be about the last incident until Angela and her new posse sat in the empty seats at their table. "Wassup people?" asked Angela, like it was a regular thing to do to sit by Aly and her friends at lunch.
Aly could feel Taryn and Sophie looking at her, with Jenna and Lauren staring at Angela with their mouths open. Aly stared at her friends. Wouldn't Angela think they were wierd? It was Angela Payton after all and anything was possible.
"Nothing" said Aly quickly. "Nothing?" asked Celia. "How could you be talking about nothing?" Aly heard Jenna giggle at Celia's comment. "It's possible" said Sophie. Lauren and Taryn busted up. Angela was confused. But it was Hillary who spoke.
"We know you were talking about Andy" she said. This time Sophie busted up with Jenna, who usually was very polite. Hillary was British and her accent was a big surprise."Look Angela" said Aly. "I'm sorry but right now is not the time to talk". Aly looked at her lunch for the first time this period. "Oh, that's fine" said Angela. "I was just stopping by. You see I'm going to visit the boys" She glanced at Jenna and Lauren. "Boys are a priority" Angela said while smirking. Aly felt her insides blow up. "WAIT!" cried Aly. Celia and Hillary were already with the boys.
"What?" asked Angela. She was holding in another smirk. "Um, well I'd be glad to sit with you tommorow" said Aly. She wanted to sound very mature. Angela needed that. "Ok" said Angela and within a second she had scored herself a seat between Hillary and Logan.
"You like a boy over there, don't you Aly?" said Lauren. She said it like a statement not a question. "No" said Aly. "Then why did you decide to sit with her tommorow?" asked Taryn. Of course Aly's friends would find out sooner or later about Logan, but.... "Yeah" said Jenna, interupting Aly's thoughts. "Angela always finds a way to sit with the boys". "Aly tell us who you like!" said Sophie. Aly glared at her. "C'mon! Love is tough y'know" said Sophie avoiding glares. "How would you know?" managed Aly. "The guy from drama didn't work out over the summer. Turns out he found another girl he liked" said Sophie casually. But Aly could tell Sophie cared.
"Do you like him?" asked Lauren, pointing to David. "No!" cried Aly. "Ew!" "Well I think he's kind of cute y'know...." continued Lauren. "See!" cried Taryn. "I knew you liked someone!" "Ugh!" said Jenna. "Does this mean I officially am the girl who still doesn't like boys?" "YES!" yelled Sophie, who sent Aly laughing along with other girls from other tables. Looked like no one was getting to her and Logan anytime soon.

A Teen Year Chapter 2

Chapter 2
Aly rubbed her eyes sleepily. It was the first time in months that she had to get up early. (Early meaning 8:00 or earlier) She gave one last look at her hair. It was very wavy with lots of curls. Perfect she thought.
"Alyssa!" Mom cried from downstairs. "Coming!" Aly responded. This was it. It was the official first day of middle school. (Or as Aly liked to call it, junior high) After dreaming and tossing and turning all night long, it was exactly 15 minutes until her first class. Homeroom.
Aly was currently trying to decide whether she should wear a Strawberry Shortcake lip gloss or an American Girl lip gloss. The decision was tough. When someone thought of American Girl, dolls come to mind. But when people thought of Strawberry Shortcake, the aggrivating Strawberry shortcake videos come to mind. Although, Aly was wishing they would think of a tasty topping.
Aly grabbed both brands of lip gloss and ran downstairs. "Gawd Aly you're going to be late!" said Nadia. "What are you doing here?" asked Aly. Nadia's school didn't start until 9, unlike Monroe which started at 8. "Nadia got dressed really quick so she could see you on your first day" said Mom. But most likely, Nadia was there to aggrivate her.
"I have a finishing touch to make on myself" said Aly as they began backing out of the driveway in the silver Honda pilot. "What?" asked Nadia. She yawned to show she was bored and didn't care. "Strawberry Shortcake or American Girl?" asked Aly. "American Girl" said Nadia, turning her nose up at Strawberry Shortcake's face. "Why not Strawberry Shortcake?" asked Mom. Aly gave her look. Mom responded with a look saying then why did you ask?
"Ok" said Aly. "Which American Girl gloss? Oranges n' Creme? Or Vanilla malt?" "Oranges n' Creme" said Nadia. Mom nodded. After Aly applied it, she nodded again. "You look beautiful."
Then their Honda drove up in Monroe's parking lot. "Want me to walk you?" asked Mom. Taryn waved at Aly from the pavement. "I'll be okay" said Aly looking at Taryn. "Have a good day" said Mom. Nadia was watching closely with a curious look on her face.
Then Aly stepped out of the car. And the Honda drove away. Aly's stomach lurched. She looked for Taryn but she had already left. Instead, Lauren Walters was grininng at her. "Got your cell phone?" she asked. Lauren imitated Aly's constant pocket check. Aly slapped her coat pocket instead. "I'm wearing a skirt today" she said. Then she pulled her shiny blue Sanyo Katana from the pocket. "I always have it."
"Well me, Jenna and Sophie are sitting together at lunch" said Lauren. "Wanna sit with us?" "Yes!" said Aly. She didn't want to sound too eager. But this brought Stephanie to mind.... "Come on" said Lauren. "We'll get our class schedules now." Aly already knew she would be placed in all highly capable classes. She knew Lauren wouldn't be wth her.
Class schedules were handed out and Aly was right. Highly capable all the way. Parents and teachers guided sixth graders to their classes and Aly was almost to her homeroom when something caught her eye; Angela Payton hissing at another girl.
Angela was all into boys, clothes and looks. She was a person to avoid as well. But how could Aly not watch this? The girl she was hissing at was a beauty. She had short blonde hair and even though Monroe Middle was a uniform school, this blonde knew how to make it look fashionable.
"Celia Martin, huh?" asked Angela. "Yah" said the beauty. Her name was obviously Celia. A student from a different elementary. "Well do you want to sit by me and Hillary Brontwell?" Aly almost burt out laughing. Who had a name like Brontwell? "Sure" said Celia. Aly wondered why Angela was asking people she hardly knew to sit by her.
The bell rang and Aly hurried to homeroom. This made Angela turn around and spot Aly. Celia turned the opposite direction and headed off. "ALY!" yelled Angela. Aly froze on the spot. What could she have possibly done wrong?

A Teen Year Chapter 1

Chapter 1
"Promise me you'll IM tommorow?" asked Stephanie. "Yes!" Aly answered for the millionth time that day. Aly was sick and tired of the same question. "Jesus christ" she mumbled.
"Shut up, Aly!" snapped Aly's sister, Nadia. "That's a bad word." "How is Jesus Christ a bad word?" asked Aly. "Mom and Dad said so" said Nadia proudly with her nose in the air.
Aly and Nadia were carrying pillows and bags from Aly's sleepover at Stephanie's. "Bye, Al!" cried Stephanie from her front doorway. Stephanie had talked about her week at St.Matthews's Christian Academy the WHOLE time. "My new friend is Nicole. She loves texting, too! She's just like you, Aly!" I invited her over too but she couldn't come....."
Aly's dad honked his horn. "Hurry up!" he said. "Aly was the one being slow" whined Nadia, getting in. As dad drove the silver Honda pilot out of Tuscany neighborhood, Aly looked at the screen of her phone thinking about everything.
Tommorow was the first day of sixth grade at Monroe Middle School. Summer was completely over. At the end of fifth grade, Aly's best friend Stephanie decided she was going to St.Matthew's. Was she afraid of Monroe? Likely. Stephanie promised that they would stay BFF's forever by IM'ing every other day once school started. Unfortunately, St.Matthew's started a week earlier than Monroe and Stephanie didn't bother telling Aly. Now she was behind on all the info or in other words, gossip.
Mom was waiting when Aly got home. Nadia jumped in her lap. "I love you mommy!" she said. Suck up thought Aly. Mom was a flight attendant for Continental Airlines, so she was gone for multiple days.
"Guess what?" said Nadia. "What little angel?" asked mom. "Tommorow is the first day of school!" Nadia jumped up and down. Aly groaned. Why did she have to remind her? Mom hugged Aly. "Aren't you excited?" she asked.
After a pause Mom said, "Taryn called." Aly reached for her cell phone. It was a blue Sanyo Katana. Aly liked it because everyone else had Motorolas.
"Yo man!" Taryn said after picking up. "Yo dog" answered Aly. "Too bad Katrina can't say yo dude" said Taryn. "Where is Katrina?" asked Aly. "Italy." "No way!" Yes way!" "OMG!" "She's coming back in a week!" "WHAT?"
Aly didn't like Katrina all that much. She was funny and nice but ever since Taryn met her, they barely talked anymore. "You there?" asked Taryn. "Yah but I got to go" Aly said quickly and hung up.
Aly walked to the bathroom and peered at her reflection. A girl with greasy hair stared back at her. Yuck, she thought.
After a dinner of corn and fish sticks, Mom forced Aly in the shower. "Have fun!" said Nadia. Aly stuck her tounge out. When Aly got in the shower she began to think. Why not look nice anyway? She shampooed twice and applied conditioner. Afterwards her mom curled her bangs to the side of her face. "Brush your teeth and come downstairs".
Aly stared at her reflection again. Now her hair swayed off to the side. Her once short bangs were now just past her chin. Aly smiled. With some lip gloss and earrings, she would look like a hot sexy mama. Aly fluffed her hair and ran downstairs.
Nadia and her mom were already organizing the new school supplies into their new backpacks. Nadia's was hot pink and Aly's was white and purple.
"Hurry up, Aly!" said Mom. Aly grabbed a sharpie and signed her name on her supplies. At ten o' clock, Aly collapsed in bed and grabbed Caroline her squishy cow pillow she won at the end of fifth grade. Aly squeezed her, then closed her eyes. Middle school, here I come!
